Pups Early Introduction To Sheep.

A lot of my permission has sheep on it, so took the dogs and pup up for her early look at em..

Took my little helper too, well I've no choice she's joined at the hip to the pup lol.

Those sheep in the photos are used to dogs and that helps a lot. It's great to see a pup looking all around but ignoring the sheep, as if they're just part of the scenery.

The lurcher I have now I brought her into the same field of sheep every day (with permission) and they got used to her as she got used to them.

She loves to chase a tennis ball and by the time those sheep went to market I was able to throw a tennis ball straight at the sheep and she'd chase and retrieve it without incident.

Touch wood, LOL.

The pups 11 weeks and has been up there a few times now.

The farmers an old friend of mine so fine with me "using" his sheep for stock breaking..

Me and the daughter plus the dogs are far more interesting to the pup than the sheep, so like you say they are just something in the background.

Never know I might make a ferreter out of her yet lol

My pup just 7 weeks old she is getting pretty good at the retrieve in the house next few weeks start retrieve in back garden and was going to start her out door training about 10 weeks fingers crossed she is as good as your dog we sheep
