Dream 80 Almost Done

Recommended Posts

So here she is, taken me a couple of years but she's almost ready.

.22 HW80K
CS500 stock
Vmach kit
Slimtech silencer
Brass trigger guard and safety
Brass screw cups (hex screws)
Fitted with a Simmons prohunter 6-18X40SF

All I need to do next is slieve the piston, which I require some advice for so if anyone has done it before then please chime in.

I dont know you in person , but what a bloke you are always willing to help , well done

Hi folks. A glided piston will help with recoil. Did both of mines plus for other folks and it's a great improvement.

Thanks Rez,it's got an older v-mach in it, sans sleeve, so would like to fit one, but only if it is going to make a difference, it's bang on now without it. However, would like to cut down the recoil as much as possible. What's the consensus on sleeving? worth it?

A word of warning there the tinbum kits are based around the factory springs, not the v mach ones. I bought a tin bum kit for the my prosport that had a v mach kit already and it didn't fit. I have the factory spring and it fit's that perfectly.

Like the sleeve, if the spring guide and tophat are already a grew fit you shouldn't need to change them

If its bang on, maybe give it a miss. But, like bravo, Ive found that they dont take much recoil away, a tad maybe, but they do keep things nice and tight internally, thus perhaps adding more to the sound than the feel, no twang kinda thing. My PS doesn't have one, but the 97 does.

Thanks for all the positive comments guys, the only thing that's bugging me (only a bit though) is the cocking arm rattle, doesn't sound as solid as it should. But this is only a minor concern and hardly worth mentioning.
