Rez 4,961
What do you want to know? V-Mach kits come with sleeve... Looks proper. By the way. Nicely done. 1 Quote Link to post
andykllhr 91
Thanks Rez,it's got an older v-mach in it, sans sleeve, so would like to fit one, but only if it is going to make a difference, it's bang on now without it. However, would like to cut down the recoil as much as possible. What's the consensus on sleeving? worth it? Quote Link to post
villaman 9,982
Very nice mate , you could all ways contact Wonky donkey Dave Price he does a very nice drop in kit Quote Link to post
jonnie bravo 572
That is lovely. Sleeving will help make things smoother but it won't tame any recoil. They are great for springs that are a little loose in the piston, stopping them from rattling about. Quote Link to post
andykllhr 91
thanks, there's no spring rattle as the v-mach spring guide does it's job well. So you don't think that sleeving is worth it? Quote Link to post
villaman 9,982
The sleeving will stop any twang Quote Link to post
jonnie bravo 572
Nah mate leave it be in that case. A sleeve will probably cause more problems if everything is a tight fit already 1 Quote Link to post
andykllhr 91
Ok so I won't bother then fellas, I was looking at Tinbum's drop in kits to complement the V-mach already fitted Quote Link to post
jonnie bravo 572
A word of warning there the tinbum kits are based around the factory springs, not the v mach ones. I bought a tin bum kit for the my prosport that had a v mach kit already and it didn't fit. I have the factory spring and it fit's that perfectly. Like the sleeve, if the spring guide and tophat are already a grew fit you shouldn't need to change them 1 Quote Link to post

But, like bravo, Ive found that they dont take much recoil away, a tad maybe, but they do keep things nice and tight internally, thus perhaps adding more to the sound than the feel, no twang kinda thing. My PS doesn't have one, but the 97 does. 2 Quote Link to post
Durham John 693
Always have a soft spot for hw80's Being the only gun I've ever bought brands spanking new. That does look very well mate. 1 Quote Link to post
andykllhr 91
Thanks for all the positive comments guys, the only thing that's bugging me (only a bit though) is the cocking arm rattle, doesn't sound as solid as it should. But this is only a minor concern and hardly worth mentioning. Quote Link to post
Rimfireboy! 1,463
Nice piece Andy. I got a piston sleeve for the HW off 'tInternet auction site, you know the one, about three quid. Quote Link to post
jonnie bravo 572
Good luck with it mate, it would be a shame to have such a looker not running perfect. I got a ptfe sleeve for my 99 from the bay. The only criticism I have of the hw is the trigger is a little far forward- this is where the prosport excels. Quote Link to post
