The Air Arms Tx 200 Mk 3 Hc .177 Cal Is Outstanding.

Recommended Posts

Had a one shot opportunity mooch tonight with my T Rex. A Magpie presented a neck only shot at 35 "ish" yards through woodland/ spindle branches, and i took the shot. using AA .177 fields.

The Magpie just crumpled, so accurate these rifles for springers, - right up there with my 100`s.

Bandit is now frozen ready for decoying off a cradle.

Nice shooting on the bandit Mark

i hate the little feckers

i watched one just the other week flying back and forth with young birds in its mouth

it must of made 4 or 5 trips over my house and i had to let it go as i live in a built up area

just go,s to show that 177 is good for some things :tongue2: :tongue2: :tongue2:

Fair result for a mooch, are you using it as much as the PCP,do you find it equal? If you know what I mean without a sort of which is better debate,I just ask because you've made your feelings on the 100 and calibre very clear so would like to near your thoughts on it...

Well put Random  so here goes,Warts an` all .(condensed)

For ease and walk out and go shooting the T Rex is very easy to pick up and go.

Accuracy wise i am really enjoying the TX also, - every bit as accurate as any pcp , 100`s included !

Now then "field craft" - sit in a hide waiting for the expected time of arrival, or decoys out, dead birds on cradles to dead rabbit and entrails. A huge carrion crow flights in to the baits, lands and he "LOOKS AND LISTENS intensely for a pin to fall. The T Rex replies "un- clipppp, strain, click, click, click, "already loaded", movement again, click u/lever shut, click "safety off" Crow is 10 fields away :icon_redface: .

Same scenario as above but with my HW 100 kt .177, big carrion crow flights into my baits, whispered "click" long before he lands, safety is off already, crow lands, G`NIGHT VIENNA --- "AND HIS MATE", within a split second ! The silent loading, quickness and "unable to miss" on a bi-pod qualities of the 100`s is a major difference.

I agree on the benefits of pcp's in the multi shot, less disturbance in reloading, and virtual silence of the action, really does instill confidence in a session, and also agree that a springer is equal for all else, well put answer and as I say I agree, also the tx200 is a good rifle and hard to beat...
