Here we go.

 

An extra foot pound of energy will no be noticed to us. Its a right debate that I think we've allllll had before. 10 is enough. IMO.

 

A 21.5 ft/lbs is a bit out of the course of the chit chat to be honest.

Rez , most of us run our guns at 11.5-11.7 ft /lb with the heaviest pellet or the most efficient pellet for our guns to make sure they don't go over , so its another 1.5 ft /lb that's roughly another 50 fps ,surely that's got to be a good thing for our quarry

Am useing premier hollow points by crosman the gun is secondhand from gun shop very good condion and useing a chrono to check power any clues where to find out how to up it please ?

Wrong pellet for the gun try AA fields if its .22 or JSB heavies if its .177

1, I would want every last drop of energy i could legally have out of my "hunting air rifles"

2, I also agree that 10 ft/lbs would do the job.

3, The bit i "demand of myself" is damn good feildcraft and perfect practice. Perfect practice makes perfect accuracy (or as close as you yourself are capable of ).

 

 

Field craft and accuracy are the trump cards in successful air gun hunting.

 

Oh and Frisian, never attempt things with your rifles unless you are 110% sure of what you are doing - in this case i wouldn`t think twice about taking her to my expert gunsmiths.

P.S. For the people who own shotguns why on earth can they not use their shotgun licence for fac air, authorities ?

Because a shotgun is not a section 1 firearm, a fac air rifle is as it fires a single projectile, so an fac is required.

Perhaps, I would happily say its a good thing yes. I personally dont. My PCP's are running at 11.1 @ HW100 and 11.3 Rapid, but thats as they come [Apart form the rapid]. My springers aren't running no more that 10.8 either of them. Thats the 97 I mean. PS is 9.7.

Its been wounded due to the lack of accuracy, not power.

Yes Charlie i understand that, it`s just me having a bee in my bonnet over the years on fac air and owning shotguns for over 35 years , nothing else.
