RussBoy 77
Anyone suggest a relatively cheap spring air gun just for dodging about for odd pigeon and rabbit? Nothing special just for pissing about with really Quote Link to post
thursodog 353
Got a Weihrauch HW80 V-Glide fully tuned .177 or .22 whatever you want with a scope for £200 posted. All work including a trigger tune done by me. a seriously accurate gun. I have different springs and barrels so whatever calibre is needed I can cater for. secretagentmole 1,701
Cheap? Look for a Hatsan 900 Breaker. A nice accurate carbine! Quote Link to post
RussBoy 77
was looking to spend no more than 100 i know it a bit much asking for a decent gun for that money. what are the hatsans like for bunnies and pigeons? and would .177 or .22 be prefered? Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
Depends what you like shooting as far as calibre goes. Hatsan rifles are good value for money. The Striker types have a single stage Gamo type trigger and tend to be cheaper, the Quattro trigger ones tend to be more expensive as properly set up it is a very good trigger, not quite Rekord quality but not far off! The 55 and 60 (.177 and .22 respectively) are derivatives of the Webley Vulcan and depending where you shop can be picked up from £90, the 900 is a Striker with a carbine barrel and a silencer and can be had from £69 upwards. VWman 232
See your point timmy really meant that wasn't after anything special just a decent enough cheap gun Hello Russ I am newish so i am not an expert but when you say cheep there is two ways at looking at cost. If you buy a cheap new gun it will not hold it's money and will not perform as good in the long term. If you spend a little bit more and get a second hand HW springer say 95 or 99 it will serve you well and hold it's money. Quote Link to post
