Air Leak Hw100

Recommended Posts

Less than 5 weeks ago I renewed the hammer assembly as my ft/lbs had dropped. All Ok, or so I thought. Topped up the cylinder to 200 bar, and when I got it out to have a plink and re-zero the guage showed empty.

Obviously needs seals renewing, which I will attempt myself. Has anybody got any recommendations who I should buy the seals from. I found some on ebay for £6.95 inc p&p, and note that John Knibbs sells them for £12.50 (think that's + p&p.) Any difference in quality?, and also any hints and tips would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the link villaman, can't seem to find a full set of seals on there though. Cylinder has NEVER been removed, and have had the rifle for 3 years, so wouldn't have thought it was the cylinder seal unless the seal has just deteriorated with age. I note they do ptfe replacement seal, so maybe it has failed, although it doesn't seem to have lost any air since yesterday.

VWman, don't be put off of the HW100, they are indeed top draw. As said, I have had this one for 3 years and it has never been serviced and has had many thousands of pellets through it. Only maintenance I have done is occasionally cleaning the bore, drying everything if damp and wiping over with an oily rag, and re-oiling the stock.
