mark williams 7,568
Well lads i`ve been humming & erring which springer to buy for ages now and after much consideration it boiled down to the HW 97, HW 77, HW , FWB sport 127 and the AA TX 200. I have shot them all now, even had hold of a FWB sport 127 this morning . So was left with the final two (for me) - HW 97 or TX 200 HC. The "T-REX" was my final choice, in .177 flavour. The 97 felt a little cranky and ratchety compared to the ready tuned feel of the TX (smooth as silk) 200 HC. Feel as though i made the right decision, just hope i`m not wrong. Any scope/ mounts suggestions please guys. atb. Edited June 5, 2015 by mark williams 1 Quote Link to post

Yes AA fields are already being used. atb Edited June 5, 2015 by mark williams 1 Quote Link to post
jonnie bravo 572
Good lad welcome to the springer club! The tx will see you well. But... I doubt you will enjoy shooting your 100's quite so much now! I would say mtc... But the genesis UL. I have owned the mamba 3-12x44 and it's a bit too much scope for me, the genesis is a lot more stripped back and lighter to boot, which I like. Some like a hefty scope on a springer. 1 Quote Link to post

random 659
Looking forward to hearing how you rate/compare it once its been tested thoroughly, good to have both power plants to choose from to keep your shooting sharp though I think. Quote Link to post
random 659
Oh and good choice, its on the short list of greats I think... Or long list, depending on who and how many you ask!! Edited June 5, 2015 by random 1 Quote Link to post
mark williams 7,568
Thank You random/ guys, yes i have been a springer man all my life(.22 cal) untill two years ago and the HW 100`S took my heart , their accuracy is just incredible. I always shot the FWB Sport 127 in .22 for 38 years and could have bought one today but decided to grow with the times and opted for the T-Rex. No disrespect intended but i was originally going to use my T-Rex as a top quality back up to my 100`s. Somehow i already feel that that`s not the case. That T Rex is a hell of a springer. So rather than shoot PCP exclusively i will shoot both and try and get to a high standard with both. ( i hope) atb Edited June 5, 2015 by mark williams 2 Quote Link to post

mark williams 7,568
Well the Mamba Lite 3-12x44 scb is ordered from Uttings and on its way but three local gunsmiths were out of stock of these scopes with Uttings only having one left after my order,- something about a take over at Mamba ? and this scope being a popular seller.
