Question !!my bird / better half ?, wants to cut slate from a roof into let's say love heart shape ?for a fair thing would she do that with a grinder ?

Ah! your girl friend want to cut a roofing slate in to a love heart shape?

 

 

 

Would be best off using a slate nibbler. Gridding discs of what ever won't cut round bends. Unless she cuts in to the marked out heart.

iv been a roofer/slater for 30 years. came home a couple of weeks ago and the better half had bought some slate table mats. £20 for 4. I nearly died when she told me! there's hundreds outside in the back lol. £5 each! there's me nailing them to the roof when I should have been making table matts all this time. :laugh:
