Rez 4,961
Ive had my 100 apart giving it a bit of a bath... naturally took the optics off. I 'walked the shots' back on to the bull at 22m this afternoon and found that the 'punch through' power of a 177 Field is rather surprising. A large A4 pad, right through, with shock holes half way into the one behind. Crono'd straight away in a slight panic and its the same as before 770FPS @ 11.1ft/lbs. Dont know if I need to think about using Heavies. Quote Link to post
jonnie bravo 572
What's your thinking behind switching to heavies? Wouldn't worry about it sounds like they suit the 100, plus heavies will have a much loopier trajectory Quote Link to post
villaman 9,982
JSB heavies in mine is doing 712-715 fps and at 50 yards not far of being bag on with AA fields hole Quote Link to post

That extra bit of weight perhaps make up for the 40 FPS diff. I may give um a go, just gotta get through me tins of fields. Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
The problem is that the pad does not have any air in it! If you separated the sheets of paper you would find that the pellet would be less likely to penetrate, due to the airbag effect! Quote Link to post
mark williams 7,568
Don`t know about airbag effect but i soon realized the game bag effect with the AA fields ( 8.4 g ) diablo atb Edited April 30, 2015 by mark williams 1 Quote Link to post
