Newbury Pensioner 'pranced Around Like A Monkey'

Recommended Posts

A NEWBURY pensioner ‘pranced around like a monkey’ and told a teenage boy to ‘go back to where he was born’ in a racist attack.

During a one-day trial last week, Newbury magistrates heard how 62-year-old Carol Ann Moss became infuriated when the teenage victim, who cannot be named for legal reasons, started barking at her dogs “to wind them up”.

After receiving a punch to the face which ‘splattered his nose and broke the lenses of his glasses’, 55-year-old Mr Moss hit the youth ‘three or four times’ across the shoulders and back with his walking stick.

Hasrat Ali, prosecuting, said that the youth had received ‘racist abuse’ and a ‘hiding’ at the hands of the couple.

However, Mr Moss, who stood alongside his wife in the dock during the trial, was cleared of one charge of racially aggravated assault after magistrates decided he acted in self defence.

Giving evidence, Mrs Moss admitted giving the youth a ‘backhander’ because she feared he would hit her husband a second time and that the incident would give Mr Moss, who suffers from a heart condition, a heart attack.

So bully and attack a couple of pensioners, and there's no problem.

the old people call him a nasty name and defend themselves and get a record for using racially aggravated language likely to cause alarm, harassment or distress

Oh yeah... they actually ruled with the defense!

"After retiring for 30 minutes to consider their decision, magistrates found Mrs Moss guilty of using racially aggravated language likely to cause alarm, harassment or distress.

She was ordered to pay a £300 fine, costs of £100 and a £30 victim surcharge.

However, magistrate Mark Lovett ruled that it would be ‘wholly inappropriate’ for Mrs Moss to pay compensation to the victim."

Remind us what went wrong? :D

Looking at the article, it went through the court system and was a complete waste of time for everyone invloved.

How many thousands were wasted to prove absolutely f**k all?

The real losers, here, are the people that subsidise this nonsense.
