Nets

Recommended Posts

I bought pile of stuff from a guy packing in as I wanted the spools of nylon and there's a few nets in the box . There good enough nets that the guys knitted himself but the way he's threaded the draw cord has me baffled . There threaded up as normal till six inches past the net them one side is knotted to the other side and only one draw cord goes to the peg ? Does anybody else thread them like this ? I would of thought it would of been just as easy to take both ends of the draw cod to the peg as normal ?

Aye there descent enough nets but thats no for me i like them tied on to the bottom ring and a good lenght of drawcord in case you need to move about to peg them in the ground and two ends put threw the peg and knotted then melt the ends so the knot cant become undone .

i will fix them over the summer another job to add to the list LOL but i wanted the spun and the raylon in the ebay lot the folding shovel will just be a bonus

Because i reckon if i set the peg as far away from the burrow that the drawcords taught when a rabbit hits the net and it starts moving the net its already pursing

Aye bit crude them pegs, you would have sore hands pushing them in all day.

Yeah I reckon. On the upside, you would`nt have to push them in that far

I will use the thicker shanks, if Ive nothing else, but I`ll split them length ways and get two pegs out of a thick bit.

Finally got the nets sorted out there not bad but only 14 meshes wide. so I will be looking for swapping them for something,
