HPR 1,161
Imo I think it's nothing but crap. Put your terriers on a lead bring em for a walk or else bring them to a stream let them paddle about.thats because you no nowt about them Quote Link to post
stop.end 4,082
well to be fair i dont think he was being disrespectful in the way it sounded i hope? because the quality and craftmanship of both items is top class....fair play men and great engineering id say.... but i think youngman just meant throw the lead on them walk them down to the local river....and toss something in and if they like swimming they will go in swim out get it back to you..and same again... only very natural with the current of the local river hes swimming and getting walked along the bank were no doubt there will be the odd rat mink or another dogs piss grass to eat and numerous other stuff on the way back job done! plus the bonding...so logically really....next it will be just rung a mate today to go out digging...his terriers were at the gym! jetro 5,349
To be honest everyone that posted put good points across about their views on the equipment that is used today by lads with working dogs. not everyone who uses these will be working their dogs in the field but for other sports as weight pulling and agility competitions. Imo this is where this equipment would be very useful. Jmo. atb j. Quote Link to post

HPR 1,161
All i can say is ive been working terriers and lurchers and other dogs since i was 13 . and i'd never expect an earth dog doing regular 3/4 hour digs sometimes alot more sometimes a bit less or a lurcher doing r 4/5/6 hour session of running . on just a f***ing walk round the block . there no wonder theres so many broken hearted sickend spoilt dogs about . yeah sometimes you get out more than what you put in but i like the thought of that me and the dogs are a team and we both put as much effort in as each other .if the dogs fit hes confidennt in his work if im fit im confident im going to get to the dog in good time 1 Quote Link to post

jetro 5,349
Thanks for explaining HPR I'm a bit slow on things like that lol. stop.end if I offended you or any other terrier lads I'm sorry. I kept and worked terriers for a long time so I do realise that they have to be on top of their game for the job they have to do. sometime a little extra help to keep then in peak physical fitness is no harm. atb j.
