macberran 2
Have a option on a sako 75 action 3, any body any opinions Quote Link to post
Deker 3,491
As a tool they are brilliant, but as you have not suggested any intended use, or the deal you can get its a bit difficult to answer, also remember the model 85, its new(ish) big brother! There is no doubt Sako make fine tools, and as part of the Beretta empire, the general suggestion must be you can't go far wrong! Deker Quote Link to post
SNAP SHOT 194
you won't go wrong with the sako, its a great piece of kit even if it's the older model......if the deal is a good one, go for it if not put the money to the 85 model instead. Quote Link to post
macberran 2
lads the intended use is for deer. a 243. Quote Link to post
alimac 882
lads the intended use is for deer. a 243. got the heavy barreled 75 in 22.250 and 243, both superb quality, never had a single prob.. apart from both mags fit both rifles so there is a potential there for a right ... money well spent Quote Link to post
v-max 2
Hello i dont have sako but they are 0ne of the best built factory rifles on the market & can be very good to build off the action. Quote Link to post
spudlington 3
I have a Sako 75 "Finnlight" in 6.5x55 for deer. Cracking rifle, you won't go wrong with a Sako. just make sure it's the right model for you. I love the Finnlight for it's lightweight, short barrel and all-weather practicality but it's not everyone's cup of tea. Had a great offer on the Deluxe model when I was getting the Finnlight, gorgeous piece of kit, lovely wood but I wanted something I wouldn't be worried about scratching in the field. Go for whatever you know you'll be happiest with mate, I firmly believe that you shoot better with a rifle you have confidence in and like. Spud Quote Link to post
macberran 2
Thank you gentlemen for all the input I have the chance off a sako with scope(meopta) or a new tikka. Quote Link to post
scotch7/08 0
Go for sako, the new tikka's are alot cheaper made. I have a tikka t3 in .223 and wish i had gone for a second hand sako. I also have a browning a-bolt 7/08 and a thompson/centre encore .243. Both very good rifles. However if I was to have one rifle I would go for the sako75. .243 is a good round. If the price is right go for it. Meopta scopes have a good rep to boot. keep us updated Quote Link to post
macberran 2
I knew it..never mind Quote Link to post
