Kay 3,709
its cleaer this lad is trying too get help we should give it too him instead of being nasty too him mabey he didnt know about text talking remember people another hunting lad too keep our breed going if i were you mate i would get a whippet type dog mabey jrt cross whippet good nipy dogs Well maybe he would have got it if he spoke in a language that we could actually understand , its just lazyness , if people are asking for help they should at least have the decency to speak properly Then maybe the rest of us wouldnt take the piss Quote Link to post

TerrierLad 0
Well.... i am going to say bedlington.. theyre faster than most terriers if fed and trained properly and could do more than marking in my opinion. but a jrt or border would be ideal just for marking i should imagine but they probobly need some work or they will just go crazy around the hole and the rabbit will bolt from a different hole. byrney 2
I use a Daschunt jrt cross. She's keen quiet and moves through thick bramble like a fish through water. Probably a hard cross to get hold of though. Edited November 5, 2007 by byrney Quote Link to post
bill88 6
BeddyxWhippet, get one from good lines, and it will multi task.My wee bitch will mark and work cover as well as any terrier, and when you get a bolter she catches it. Quote Link to post
allgame 0
wel i use my gsp he has a awsome nose and bushes exellent hes also very obideient but only just fast enough to catch if the bunny gets through the net not to metion he works all day my only issue with a terrier would be i cant see them catching if the rabbit slips the net also i had a jrt and it kept goin down the holes and or getting tangled in the net as well as not being able to stop himself from putting holes in the rabbits then i think the wippet wouldnt bush which is a handy triat when your around bush because my dog will always put rabbits in there holes then i can go and ferrets then out also the wippet seems more capable of breaking a toe or a leg in a hole also they can proberly mark not bad but i bet they cant find those sneacky holes that only a dog that can work all day at a non stop pace can find that are 50meters away from were u are walking anyway i think a good dog would be somekind of fast athleticaly built gundog Quote Link to post
