Paul1980 2
Hello, I'm looking to get a sling fitted to my Hw97kt with a synthetic stock, I was told by my local gun store that it couldn't be done because it was a hollow synthetic stock rather than being solid? I'm sure this is wrong! Can anyone advise how it's done and what I need? Many thanks 1 Quote Link to post
random 659
On a wooden stock you drill into the butt for the rear stud and clamp the front stud onto the under lever, from the pictures I've seen the synthetic seems to be done the same but I don't own one or have never seen it done so I may be wrong... 1 Quote Link to post
bigmac 97kt 13,828
here you are bud and yes you can no bother When you get your stud for the stock don't put it to close to the end as this is the weakest part of the stock and can brake away put it where iv got mine and it will be spot on get a drill bit a tag smaller than the stud then put some masking tape over where you want the stud to go . then get a center punch and lightly tap a indention in the tape where you need to start drilling make sure the rifle is locked into place first as you don't want the drill to snap or go in at an angle you need it to be strait . once the hole is in then screw your stud in place a little at a time then back out a little until its all the way in then take it out and put some super glue in the hole and replace the stud leave until dry and the jobs a good un You will need a barrel band stud for the front this fits on to the under leaver but first put some tape around where its going to go so it protects the leaver iv put a pick up of the swivels i used on mine but it all comes down to the sling you have as some have quick release on them . atvbmac  Edited January 12, 2015 by bigmac 97kt 2 Quote Link to post

Murphydog 30
Yes, did mine as well and they never came loose or moved. I just tried to make the hole as small as possible to make sure the screw had a good grip. Quote Link to post
