Raymond 618
Bring him out at night, keep him on a lead at all times. Bring him to some cover that you can get in and around with him on the lead. He will deffo use his nose in the dark. Try a few sessions like that. I found it brings on bushers lovely. morton 5,369
i was gifted a good Lakey dog a few years back,i had to take a 7 year old bitch as part of the deal, within a season she was bushing about with conviction, she was never in the same calibre as dogs that were entered as pups, yet she marked and showed plenty of commitment after a little education. How did you start her off any tips you could give me in starting an older dog into bushing I had the luxury of having experienced bushers for her to follow, yet ive started dogs from scratch, its a case of getting them out and about, the majority of terriers have an inclination to explore their terrier heritage. whipstar 18
If youve got mates with experienced bushing dogs get it out with them for a few sessions Quote Link to post
