GreyRake 108
Would be interesting to see how a ferret takes to the training Tomo. Some trained martin squirrel hunting in the trees would really do it! I could admire their agility all day. 1 Quote Link to post

Should be Minking of course,,not minkenry,,,but your a yank so your excused,,, I've thought lots about trying this with other wild mustelids like weasels or martens, but I haven't tried just yet. To be honest, I'm having too much fun with the mink to want to change anything at this point! Quote Link to post
Minkenry 1,044
Do a wolverine Minkery good look mate as said do we get THL discount?? I think a wolverine would make a cool pet, but hunting with one would be pretty lame. "Common boy, go find the dead deer!" LOL What I think would be cool, would be hunting with a fisher! Here's a big old male after being tranquilized Here's one killing a fox And here's a couple videos of smaller female fishers chasing squirrels through the tree tops! Quote Link to post

Minkenry 1,044
use it for blood tracking then lol Hey NOW you're talking! Tracking a deer down after shooting would be a PERFECT job for a wolverine! Good luck prying him off after it's found the deer though haha That's why you wouldn't pry him off. Teach him that you are there to open the kill for him, so he doesn't get protective when you start messing with the deer, then slit the belly open and let him start feeding on the gut pile. While the wolverine is gorging on the heart, liver, lungs, and kidneys, you cut the deer up. Throwing the bony portions of the legs, and other scraps to the wolverine as so he gets to eat his fill Quote Link to post
