Waz 4,304
Very cheap,,,6 men for 3 months?,,,,even at the very low wage of 1000 per man per month,,,,that's 6 grand a month,,,,,I'm sure those figures can't be right,,,unless 6 men were just there for a week or two,,,,then down to one man,,,even then,,,with all the logistics,,,,can't of been worth it,,,them figures must be wrong Your forgetting to take of a good couple of grand for surveying work for or by the NT, these people know how to get their expensive expenses all weighed out
colliejohn 840
I was, some reports are often inaccurate, Matt, like your title for the post, Dream Job For Some, it was a once in a lifetime experience that i can assure you, but by no means was it a walk in the park, it was a logistical nightmare, very inclement and extreme weather conditions, extremely difficult and dangerous terrain to work ferrets, dogs, trap, and shoot on, but i would go back and do it tomorrow, my goodfriend Mr Ed Cook certainly earned his money. regards collie john.

Good on ya fellah; I'm glad you got some sport out of it And, I'm glad Mr Cook made some dosh; which it sounds like he did I'm not one of those jealous types who resents others 'doing a bit'.... in fact, back in 'the day' (<< a 'trendy phrase I'm not over happy with) I actually subbed some work to Ed.... Anyway, as has been (well) said, one section of society it pays never to trust is the press Like I say, good job for someone; glad to see the job portrayed in a positive light
