By kind permission of Mr Aj Titterington, The Sporting Whippet Club of Northern Ireland now have 2 qualifers for the 5 Nations Whippet Champion of Champions at Shanes Castle 2015, at this Sundays Show at Dunsilly.

***1st Qualifer will go to Overall Best in Show

***2nd Qualifer will go to Overall Show Champion of Champions 2014

 

 

The Final Sporting Whippet Club NI Dog Show/Race Day and Barbeque, This Sunday September the 14th 2014.

 

 

The Sporting Whippet Club of Northern Ireland will be holding their Final Dog Show & Race day of 2014, plus their Overall Show Champion of Champions 2014, on Sunday 14th September at the magnificent Dunsilly Kennells, Milltown Road, Antrim. BT41 2JJ

 

 

Starting Time will be 12 0’clock mid-day. ( Pure Bred Whippets Only )
* All Dogs Racing at this event MUST be muzzled * No Muzzle , No Race.
Signing in for racing between 11.30 - 12.15 pm, no late entries will be taken. All dogs to be taken up to the tent when booking in for the racing.

 

 

Heats for the racing will start at approximately 12.45pm, followed by the usual show classes as follows:

 

1. Children's Handling
2. Whippet Pup ( all whippets under 1 year old )
3. Whippet Dog
4. Whippet Bitch
5. Working Whippet
6. Veteran Whippet ( or whippets 6 years of age or older )
7. Whippet Pairs
8.BEST IN SHOW ( Unbeaten dogs from classes 2,3,4,5 & 6 )
9. Members Class ( free entry for fully paid up members showing dogs previously shown in classes 2- 6, but unplaced )

 

 

The usual raffle will take place. All donations and gifts for this raffle would be much appreciated from our members, or anybody attending the show.Showing will be Followed by Overall Show Champion of Champions 2014
( Different Judge to the previous 8 Classes )

 

 

Qualifiers for the Champion of Champions are :
Davy Best with Harley
Davy Best with Penny ( Qualified Twice )
Graham Fyffe with Bolt
Rea Wilson with Odis
And the Overall Best in Show at Sundays Show.

Race heats and finals to continue after all the show classes, and when the Champion of Champions has been judged.

**Please note this show will be the last qualifer for the Whippet Championship at the Great Game Fair of Ireland at Montalto, Ballinahinch on Saturday the 27th and Sunday the 28th September 14

 

 

The Annual BARBEQUE will be taking place during the show (no catering van this month!).

 

This will be Free to Fully Paid up Members, and £2.00 per person for non members.
Hopefully the weather will keep up
