Did anyone see this program last night?

I was surprised to see that in deepest darkest Patagonia, there's a town called Trevelin that was populated years ago by Welsh immigrants and even today 10% of the town have Welsh as their first language.

One of the guys on the show was a 5th generation Welsh gaucho.

There are a lot of Welsh in Patagonia, Out side Wales it is the biggest welsh speaking area in the world. They even have their own dialect. I also believe there is a thriving Welsh community in Philadelphia Pennsylvania in the aptly named North Wales district.

Watched a welsh speaking program a few years ago on S4C about it I did, real interesting how they've kept their heritage.

On my bucket list to go fishing in Patagonia, I'd have to pop into Trevelin too I would, that would be a tidy trip.
