there loads of standing barley left here to cut be unless this weather takes a turn for the better then that will end up getting ploughed back in as the had to the other year as the ground wont take the weight of the combine,

barley cut 2 weeks ago here sounds like there a gun battle going on most days with the pigion shooters lol hedges round the back roads are all cut farmers normaly cut them when they nothing else to do

same here they cut all them last week, my mate runs pigeon shooting for his forign guests for the 3 months over the summer when stalking is slow, they are averaging over a 100 each a day x 3 shooters one had 350 last week, he averages around 27,000 birds in that 3 month period,

they'll get another cut of grass here. out last night and a couple of fields need a proper cut ( for me n the dog anyway ). plenty of corn still standing though. they started again yesterday but heavy rain knocked em off. dont reckon they'll stop here till september.

only one field of corn here any year I hate walking that when it cut, the cut it at just nice height to cut the feckn ankles of ya

they did the rape round here at end of july, last year it was still standing mid september. most of the wheat is done now, few fields of barley still standing but when its been too wet for cutting theyve been harrowing instead, so a lot of the stubble is gone, leaving good running land
