Cpc Certificate

Recommended Posts

We train all of our hgv drivers in it now, 40 hrs class time I think, the pass rate of our lot is well above 85 per cent, we have about 350 class 1 drivers.

It's in the instructors best interest to get as many passed as possible, they generally emphasise the points that are relevant to the test, jot some notes down on these, the slides they use will be key to the test, the books good for reference once you've passed but I'd concentrate on the slides and any points that the instructor is labouring.

Good luck.

Each company with a fleet has to have someone who holds a cpc as their transport manager. That course is a 2 week full time really in-depth thing.

My mate recently did the one you're talking about (for drivers) and he said it was a piece of cake. It was all stuff he knew anyway. And he's a real ming-mong.

Edited to add: I didn't know you needed to do it for a 3 1/2. My mate drives 7 1/2s.

Edited to add again: Nice to see you Sunday. Sorry I didn't have time for a chat. Busy winning the runner-up prize. Thanks for the maggots mate.

I was thinking of doing my hgv just the money side of things are a bit tight atm but will prob do it next year.

It's a very handy thing to have, all ways work out there for at least 10£ an hour, if you can tolerate the traffic, long hours and a fair bit of waiting, it's a 600£ quid a week job for our drivers.

And being able to reverse helps lol, that's what fooks a lot of would be hgv drivers up!

no probs mate im sure we will catch up at the next comp ..

anyone who drives 3/12 upwards must have a cpc from 9 September ...

the instructor said even if you have a disco which is towing another heavy type 4x4 which goes over 3/12 ton will need one too ...

and vosa are out for blood come sept 9 ..should be fun we always get pulled over ...been pulled twice in a day ...

but I dont mind the hours..

and the traffic is ok im pretty paitent with other drivers :whistling: :whistling:

I ain't got the best track record with reversing....

I got a caravan at the moment, used to have campers and motor homes because I used to get so stressed reversing caravans on sites, I'm currently in the market for a remote control caravan mover! Lol

Having to have a cpc for up to 7 1/2 tonne will depend on how the vehicle is taxed ..
