jigsaw 11,906
and have the neighbour to keep an eye on the house, she came in and i just said if the shepherd starts barking in a very strong way you might just drop in to have a look to see all is ok.So I fed, watered and exercised the mutts earlier and the girl next door called in and I walked her throught he kitchen to show her the view from the kitchen doors, looking out on the shepherd and the gate to the kennells.I stayed out of view just to see his reaction.I kinda thought the dog wouldnt be as aggressive towards a woman compared to a bloke but how wrong I was, when she walked up close to the glass the dog erupted and started trying to bite through the glasss,She got a hell of a fright, and to be honest I was a bit surprised myself.I locked the kitchen door and took the key away, just in case for some reason she might try and win the dog over(she wouldnt dream of it,its just me taking no chances whatsoever).Ive locked up all the gates and opened the gate to the kennell,so the shepherd has access to the whole area,3 years ago when we had a spate of robberies going on here, dogs being lifted all over the place id have spent a very uneasy day hoping when I get home the mutts would still be there. With Neiko I have no thoughts in that way now,hes turned out to be a great asset to the yard,so off to enjoy the day without a bother and god help anyone that tries their luck, all the neighbours are spot on and will be on the look out for any unwanted attention.I have to say I have superb neighbours,we all get on great and help each other out.I might even throw a photo or two of me in the suit all dressed and shiny, bet you cant wait.lol
Taggy123 59
Yes having a decent guard dog certainly puts your mind at rest. Ive had a rotty on the yard now for the past twelve months and he does a great job as theres a footpath runs up the side of my garden and he would make anybody think twice. He also has the run of the yard at night and can cover all the way around the outside of the house. Atb taggy.
