Working Offshore?

Recommended Posts

Don't know how you would go about transferring from a domestic plumber to go offshore, maybe as a pipefitter? Not sure if you would have to do any cross-discipline training or skills transfer.

I'm a tiffy offshore and I love it, if you can get offshore its a great gig. Sorry I couldn't be more help on the trade question though.

Good luck.

You could go in as a pipefitter know I load of lads who have done it, ex plumbers / gas fitters and a few that have no engineering aptitude at all lol.. Get the mandatory courses and get your cv out there, the rest is down to you.. A lot of the time it's not what you know it's who you know, I've helped a lot of my pals get a start and they all enjoy it, good money, plenty time off.. Jobs a gooden. Good luck mate!
