Chicks Going Off There Legs

I've jus done a hatching of my game fowl 17 chicks in total four chicks have now gin off there legs are walking on there hocks well trying to I've just found one on its last legs so I've dealt with the other three I know mareks does this but these are two weeks old and I've had lots of other chicks in the brooder no problems

It sounds as if something is not quite spot on with the incubator mate. I have had the same thing happen when the temperature was a bit too high but it could also be humidity. Well done with the hatch :thumbs:

I could be wrong but sounds like to high protein what've you been feeding ?

Hi mate they have just been on chick crumb
take them of the crum have a look at their tendons if swollen you might've blown em with to much protein . Also feel their legs and see if they feel hot ! Edited by marshman

in reality your chicks should be ok on crum for a while but I have seen some em go of their legs if a batch has got to high protein , it's just one thing to elimate before you see if its Mateks . Me personally change chick food regular from growers to maintenance maybe cracked corn but I'm sure everyone's got different ways of feeding .
