Wire Question.

Recommended Posts

Ok, so I was wondering what gauge wire mesh is fox proof?

Looking to build some poultry pens, and won't have leccy round these. Some will be using heras panels.

But for some smaller bantam runs I was wanting to use some kind of weld mesh.

Now i've seen various gauges and the cheaper stuff is on rolls, the more expensive comes in panels.

So how thick is too thick for charly?

18 gauge will keep a fox out if it is dug in and high enough .. Obviously the tighter the holes the stronger the fence ... Anything between 13mm and 25mm will do the job ...........

Cool, it's on a hard standing, so digging under not so much of a problem. Was just hoping I could get away with the stuff on the rolls, but the best I'm looking at there is 1.6 mm.

Any one know where to get cheap weld mesh panels from?

Anything from 13-25 mm lol ?
