RubyTex 1,957
Would your mate be better off writing to the head of department or even chief constable? A polite letter spelling out the crack, sent in recorded delivery and obviously keep a copy yourselves. Stipulate he has danced to their tune for a year, as told, but has not had this keeping guns at home ban lifted despite being a responsible person etc etc. Ask them what needs to be done in order to get the guns back home... Otherwise they will sit with their thumbs up their arses for a while..
Fieldsports 155
How do you get the SACS discount from being a member on this site please.I have searched through posts but I can not find the info or the link to join on a discount.Just my Insurance is due in 3 weeks from now so I might as well join them for £19 ...Its for nothing really at that price. Paulus I appreciate the advice Under £20 is a bargain.I have never had anything to do with SACS so it might be worth a shot for the £19I just looked on the site and it says £35 so for £19 I will take up the offer myself as like I say mine is due in 3 weeks time. Thanks Steve
Fieldsports 155
I have been looking on SACS website Can not find any info / links on SACS policy wording.what other terms are on the policy?I have found a page that briefly explains the cover in simple wording but I can not find the exact policy details. What limits are there to making claims if there are other insurances in play eg" home insurance cover you might have"Has anyone got a copy of SACS policy details seems a few of you have joined. You should of recieved a copy of the exact policy wording when you joined according to FSA rules. If so can someone post the policy wording or a link to them please. Thanks Steve
Alex - SACS 5
Hi. The policy wording + cover note are on the insurance page. Legal expenses support will not cover you for anything that that has occurred or started prior to joining SACS. That's common sense. Otherwise, any questions just give us a call. We do personal service really well Cheers
Fieldsports 155
I have rang sacs ( diverting away from the original post a little )I was asking about a membership fro myself. Which I am tempted to take on I must admitBut I still do not see the full policy wording ! I can only see wording that is "brief description" of the policybut bot the actual wording of it.I am maybe been too picky on this but I would of liked to read the full and actual wording of the policy including main and sub sections.I do not want to draw this out as my intention is not to be a pa1n in the @rse but I like to read small printin whatever I do or become part of.I will however speak to sacs again via phone in more detailI need to make my mind up in a day or two so I will have insurance while I am out and about. Thanks StevePS: Sorry to divert away from the main post as this was all started because my made had grief and not myself. trigger2 3,287
if hes your mate like you say and cant afford to join basc or sacs instead of providing him cartridges for days out shooting why dont you offer to pay a membership fee for him if it helps get him out the shit. the price of 4 boxes of cartridges should cover the membership of sacs by the seems of it.
Fieldsports 155
Well I know this discussion has drawn to an end.But although I began this for the benefit of another person,I have decided to renew my membership with SACS as opposed to NGO who I have been with for years.I rang SACS and spoke to a very helpful lady that explained and answered all my questions I had.To be honest I do not know what I personally have been thinking in the past as all I have done is paid into bloated organizations that charge a price I accepted.Speaking to SACS was the best call I made.Needless to say I took the deal on 6 or more members so it discounted the price to £26 per person.I have now got my friends on-board that shoot where I attend and in total I think pending expiry dates on their excising memberships from other shooting organizations,I should of generated about an additional 15 members for SACS.I would like to thank you lot for guiding me towards SACS and making me take a in depth look.Well that's me sorted !As for my mate he needs to contact the chief constable for his licensing area and ask for reasons and answers then like you say join an organization like SACS that would help him, although just rightly SACS would not become involved if he has a matter pending prior to joining them.Once again Thanks for the advice.I am now a fully fledged SACS member..Thanks Steve
dillydog 8,517
Tell him to join Sacs, its just over £20 and he will get support from their legal team.....No he won't, it all happened before he joined so they won't do jack shit.I've got a similar problem, the country side alliance have been more help than SACS even though I haven't joined them
