  1. Hi. The policy wording + cover note are on the insurance page. Legal expenses support will not cover you for anything that that has occurred or started prior to joining SACS. That's common sense. Otherwise, any questions just give us a call. We do personal service really well Cheers
  2. Regardless of what you feel towards an organisation and what they may or may not have done, we must strive to work together. This is not about denominational politics, but about genuine unity. Mutual support gives tremendous strength and, at some point, it might just pay off. We need to focus more on licensing the individuals and less about the type of firearm. Is there greater risk to public safety from pistol ownership than rifle ownership? Of course not. Therefore we are delighted to support this campaign. Let's keep at it and stay positive. Best, Alex
  3. Our policy is provided through Lycetts in Newcastle and covers you across the UK. On the website you can view a specimen of the policy cover note. As ever, call us if you have a query. Cheers, Alex
  4. Springer, I have checked with the girls and there has been no email query on the subject. Just call me - we are constantly busy, but make time for and like speaking to our members. I will look out for your call. On the matter of legal fees there are fewer exclusions with the new self-funding set up, we can now act on applications as well as revocations, refusals etc + wildlife crime. There is no £100k limit. We can act quicker - the legal fees insurance was too slow. We (SACS) can decide cases on merit - which is a heck of a lot better than a numerical desk jockey from an underwriter with
  5. Hi Graham, Paul has kindly forwarded your query. Yes, our members benefit from £10m public liability insurance which covers working dogs whether lurchers or terriers etc., wildfowling and every other sort of recognised country sport. The insurance is deliberately broad, which best fits our diverse membership. Whichever organisation you go for it's totally your call - we don't do hard marketing and it's mostly word of mouth. If you like the sound of us you are very welcome. Any queries just give us a call and we will help where we can. Good luck with the wildfowling. Aye, Alex
  6. As others have stated, DSC1 is not required. Most forces have or will shortly be following Home Office FL Guidelines 2013 and conditioning for any lawful quarry, which will cover you for deer, humane dispatch, goats, boar and any other species you are lawfully entitled to shoot. In regards to your application for a .243, if you already have an FAC, all you need to demonstrate is good reason (land and suitable quarry) for that calibre and rifle - end of. In response to the previous post and as those of you who know us well, SACS does not, never has and never will limit its licensing su
  7. Thanks for the welcome. I posted this quick update elsewhere, but good here too.... New membership query / update? 9. I'm Alex from SACS and just wanted to say a quick hello. When 'I get a minute' (rare) between firearms and wildlife law consultations, lobbying and helping our members, I shoot, stalk, work terriers and fly fish for trout. If you have a question just call the office or send an email. I will try and come online when I am able. All best wishes, Alex
