Indeed, there are those, elsewhere, who seem to think I'm in some way exaggerating, or even deliberately exacerbating my situation. As if I somehow revel in my own f**king plight. It's those I'm talking to. See, I live in Co. Leitrim ~ not a place known for its burgeoning population of canary breeders. And I have a disability ~ not that it shows bodily ~ which means I can't use public transport. This is why I can only get anywhere by taxi. Oh, look! Someone's offering the bird I want! It's €25.00 Great! F**ker is, it's over in Longford. €70.00 fare. Sligo? €100.00. Dublin? €200.00. Belfast? €230.00. As for places like Waterford and Cork (Seemingly lifting with birds) ..... So now; If anyone thinks I should just put up and pay €225.00 for a €25.00 bird? That's fine. I'll f**king sell Them as many as they like, at that price. Have we cleared That little issue up now? " 8 hour trip, €100 + fuel "? I once took an eight hour taxi ride. Had to go to Louth. Cost me over €200.00. Can't see ye man there giving much change out of that either. And, just for discussion? Factor in how, with multiple couriers, ye'd really be starting from scratch with each ones rates ....? Commercial drivers command a Lot of money. That's life. Now, regards ye man there who takes his birds to Portlaoise ....?!? Are ye sure ye have that right? (Alright; Rhetorical question, obviously) Only, f**king Hell!!! That's Epic! He comes all the way down from the North, to bang out a few canaries? I'm stunned! That's simply got to be a five, six hundred mile round f**king trip! Jesus f**king wept! Why?????? That's mind bending! Can't he shift them in the north? Anyway; You look at the map? Dropping a plumb to Portlaoise, from central north? He'd be able to hear my breathing as he came past. Interesting ..... But, anyway; Just to bring things right up to the minute? Taz yet reckons he may be able to pull something off. I'm long since resigned to waiting till the end of the year. I missed the boat. Shit happens. But, I now consider myself indebted to Taz, first and foremost. If he can pull it off? He's first in line to make the sale, obviously. If it can't work out? And much of what was destroying me was practically on tap! Now? I live in heaven. It's just that Anything I want may take me five Months to just get my hands on. Doesn't Matter!!! I'm Not Complaining! *That's* what a lot of people, elsewhere find hard to get into. I ask or try to explain and they jump on me as a moaner. Am I f**k moaning! Will, mate? It's right here and it's indomitable! And I've also developed the patience of a f**king trap. I'll get my birds. I'll pay the going rate for them. Then, I hope to breed them and give them away. Because, my cunning plan is to so enrapture some youngster with these birds that They'll start to breed them too. Thus my legacy will be that people here will not only know about these birds.
