max abell 198
We got a call from the landowner from one of our biggest permissions he told us he had just driven round one of his fields to check the cattle and when he got back to the gate he could see a couple of ferrets walking about then he saw another one and another he picked up 6 in total all hobs 5 albino and 1 polecat they were all handle able and not in good nick they looked like they had been kept in filthy conditions he put them in a box in his pick up and asked us could we do something with them. In the time he had checked his animals some low life had stopped there car and just tipped them out on the edge of the road!! Can you believe someone would do that ?? We picked them up off him put them in a big cage in my ferret court gave them some chicken wings which they ate like they had never seen meat before ,I phoned the police and asked them if they had any reports of ferrets being stolen which they hadn't I also asked all the local ferreters I know did they want any which I am sure are last years hobs but like myself they have what they need and had no room. I had no choice but to ring the r.s.p.c.a and they took them. the r.s.p.c.a are not my favourite people in the world and I know the ferrets will end up with no nuts and probably only end up only rehomed to people as pets but at least they will be looked after and wont get squashed on the road or starve like the low life who just dumped them there. I CANNOT BELIVE ANYONE WOULD DO THIS. :censored: 1 Quote Link to post
Nick3439 83
Some people just don't have the same standards or morals as others; I don't have an issue with ferrets being kept as pets; it's definitely the best of a bad situation 4 Quote Link to post
pie-eater 377
Well done Im sure theyl be happy enough as pets, I found a sandy hob couple of seasons ago which some idiot had broken all 4 canine teeth off, called a rescue and found him a pet home. Quote Link to post
The one 8,592
As said some folk show no scruples with ferrets either dumping them at the end of the season and starting afresh next season or stealing ferrets to get some rabbiting done seems all to common these days Quote Link to post
