Feeding Raw..

Recommended Posts

How much do you reckon I should give to an 18 kg bitch and a 24 kg dog?

I've been cutting a chicken carcass down the middle for them, then giving the dog 1lb of meat (mince) with a slice of brown bread and sometimes liver or tripe..

The bitch I've been giving about 600g of meat with a slice of brown bread and again sometimes liver or tripe.

Noticing a massive improvement in shite quality!!

Any ideas or tips?

Cheers

that seems like a decent article to me. Only thing i dont understand is feeding the dog tripe. i cant think of any nutritional value that it has, at all. can anyone shed some light on it, i understand liver/kidney etc.as they'll have plenty of iron, load of vitamins, minerals, even calcium.

green tripe is far different to processed washed/bleached tripe but its still only about as nutritional as rabbit

Oh right, so sort of higher protein low fat. Would it be used as a filler/packer for a meal to pad it out a bit then?

in my opinion is more of a maintenance food, if your dog is building muscle it needs red meat but if its just ticking over then its fine the same as chicken,
