Craig Fosse 286
Hello guys Happy new year to all the HL members, I haven't been on this in a while, with starting my new Job and currently in the process of moving house I have had other priorities. It's start of the jersey royal season again and I have struck what most people would find as gold, I went for a meeting the other day with one of the main distributors for jersey royals on the island with great great success. He's given me 60 acres of fresh unshot land to help keep the pests at bay, with a very big view of building up a portfolio of land owned by them all over the island(approximately 10,000 verges roughly 6,000 acres). It just goes to show that waiting and persistence on the permission side of things does pay off and an e mail to the right person, attached with references and insurance does go a long way. I went into My local gunshop the other day who I am very friendly with one of the co owners. I'm really the only major air rifle hunter that they know about. Apparently someone came in the other day and ordered a theoben rapid and he's on about wanting someone to set up an FT range over here. We should be meeting in the next few weeks to organise something and hopefully a look at doing something over here when I'm all sorted in my new job. It's only half way through January and I have a lot to look forward to throughout the year. Anyway guys, I hope all is well sorry I haven't been on and once again happy new year and a belated merry Xmas! P.s I'm in Edinburgh for six weeks in 2 weeks time fire training, so if anyone knows if any decent clay shooting grounds or air rifle places I can rent it would be great. All the best Craig 1 Quote Link to post
