Another Doe

Recommended Posts

Just thought I'd share a morning's effort with the forum , this doe sat tight even after she spotted me , she had a poor looking fawn with her that I wanted as well , she remained laying down , the fawn was wandering around close by , as she lifted her head I had a clear view through the trees & squeezed , she hardly twitched , the fawn ran a few metres then stopped , staying put I waited for her to slowly work her way back to the doe were as soon as she came clear she was taken , the fawn was under weight & already infected with fluke , a problem on this place due to the marsh like conditions , not good enough for the dealer she will go the dog food route .The doe was in good condition & weighed in the chiller 69lb

Well done!

I really like this wood it is so different to the conifers we have here.

Trouble is its to thick , you cant actually stalk through it .You need to catch them coming out , there are some well worn tracks through & sometimes its just a case of waiting for them to move , you can often see them in there but there's no safe shot.
