Much Difference?

Recommended Posts

Hi lads, been searching for a hw100kt after selling my R10, I've been offered a hw100t, is there much difference in weight to the hw100kt, I've shouldered the kt in shop and does feel nice, but I've read that the standard length is a bit on the heavy side? Should I get the hw100T or sit on my hands and wait for a KT to come along? Thanks

Hi mate i have owned both and prefer the kt to the full length t, As for weight if you dont have noodle arms then you should be fine LOL better shot count on the full length but more then enough in kt to shoot in a session. One of the best PCP on the market mate so whatever you choose you wont be dissapointed. The Kt is more pointable from a hide/vehicle etc and short length means easier through woodland etc. ATB

I got my kt and love it to bits. but if I would have tried the T I would have probably gone for that. the kt is shorter and lighter than I thought it would be.

don't listen to the pussies on here the KT Is NOT HEAVY neither is the hw80 or tx200 or hw97 etc. I carry them around hours on end hunting and I have noodle arms!!!!!!!

Thanks mate, I do quite a bit of hide shooting, I also do a bit of lamping with gun mounted lamp, so was a bit worries about lugging it around whilst trying to shine

My old AAs410k was perfect back in my younger days when my hw97k seemed pretty heavy

, but now I think it would be too light for me.

the 100kt is just about perfect aswel now . the balance for standing shots is pretty amazing!!! makes it hard to miss!. I like a heavier rifle these days

I had a hw95k few months back and really didn't get on with it because it was too light for me. the hw97 77 and 98 I have now are a lot better due to the extra weight!

so for me a heavier rifle is better even tho I have scrawny noodle arms and im very unfit, but I can still hunt and lamp with the hw100kt all night

I have a 100k but with a sport stock.

I really don't like the T features of guns, they were all the rage a while ago but IMO for many the novelty is wearing off.

However, I guess it's a personal choice so if you like them that's fine :)

I'm glad I went karbine to keep the weight down a bit. 100 is already slightly nose heavy I think a full length its likely to be even more noticeable.

Oh also are you buying .22 or 177?

The shot count isn't the best with the hw100. Not bad, but not fantastic. 22 gets more shots than 177 and full length more than karbine.

So a 177 karbine you will not get many shots. I get perhaps 70-80 from my 22 K so I reckon you would lose maybe 1-1.5 magazines if using 177. Maybe this could be countered with the larger lighter uprated gas cylinder?

I own the kt and I've never been the biggest strongest bloke. and after a bit of recent ill health and losing a stone and a half taking me down to 9 st i still manage with the ns 50 on it with a large hawke scope. I've previously owned 2 full length versions and if im totally honest the full length are a bit quieter, but don't seem that much heavier. they are still very pointable.

...... Thanks for all your input lads, but I've gone and bought the hw100t! I'm not much of a sufferer of "noodle arm" so I should be ok, all my rifles have been in .22, so I've gone for a .177 for a change, getting it on Friday! Can't wait to get out and have a mooch with it, I've been a little bit put off my shooting recently by dodgy R10, so really looking forward to getting out with the hw100 and re-igniting my passion again!
