Its no different for the dogs and horses here and in Europe , there are plenty of "Men with Dogs" that run them if they dont bowl the 3/4s over or get a bit of an injury they get punted on or dumped ,

Am starting too see this saluki racing buisness becming massive , you think it will come to uk eventually rio? At least its something the dogs can do legally , suppose in long run it will improve and damage the breed equally, depending on the individuals involved, be interesting too see what comes of it lol

putting a hunting dog on the track is not likely to improve the basic line. Even the greyhound the lines of coursers and track dogs where quite distinct.. Track sports whether athletics, racing formula one all boil down to one thing in the end speed which is not the be all and end all in a hunting dog. so difficult to see any benefit

That's bad, to do that to dogs that have run their heart out for them making money, then throwing them out like rubbish, sickning!!

Crying shame!

very different culture there as well, I strongly suspect the best single handed dogs are in the hands of thr poorer men, after all having something to eat is vastly more important than winning yet another billion when push comes to shove lol

In the Middle East the Arabs especially the rich gamble huge sums and pay vast sums for horses , dogs , and Birds, if they dont cut the mustard they get dumped , the majority dont have respect for human beings let alone a animal that is no good or has served its purpose.. When people post about selling dogs to the arabs they see the $,s not what will happen down the road having said that a lot have the same peddling mentality here. If a dog is not fit for purpose or gets injured either give it a couch or pts which in itself is better than punting it round preloved or some other conveyor site.
