problem solved then.i may buy one after x mass and see how it goes.Im kennelling a swarm of termites in my yard,they eat anything they can.the only thing thats lasted so far is the oak whiskey barrells.My kennells are looking like a fekin brewry.

Ive seen dogs totally ruin their dentition chewing breeze block kennels so if you have dogs likely to chew it might be worth paying attention to.

I had same problem years ago jiggy,I used those blue plastic barrells,as the oak ones fetch silly money here.

Forest of dean I can get the oak for 40 euros,the blue barrells are 10,but the heat in the oak is unreal.Ive screwed a bit of ply to the front with a small entrance hole,shove a lash of straw and the dogs are comfy,Im considering cuting the oak barrells in half and getting 2 beds for the terriers out of 1....saves space and still big enough for the terriers.

You're a lucky b*****d to be getting oak barrels for 40euro. I have a couple of purpose build terrier cabins

They are ply lined with about 2" of polystyrene sheet for insulation. On a cold night they were warmer than the f***ing house.

 

One terrier chewed the f**k out of the panel though. Now they are all in plastic barrels with a deep straw bed.

im after throwing two of similar out as well unlaced,bring a van over and we can stock you up with barrells lol.
