paulus 26
Drop shipping is a retail method in which you don't keep products in stock. Instead, you partner with a wholesale supplier that stocks its own inventory - you transfer customer orders and shipment details to them, and they ship the goods directly to the customer. The biggest benefit of drop shipping is you don't have to worry about fulfillment or inventory issues. Also, most customers don't know you're drop shipping, since "private label shipping" lets you ship from the wholesaler with a return address and invoice customized to your ecommerce store. baw 4,360
It's what paulus wrote lol. All the big store do it too. B&Q, Argos. You ever seen in Argos where they have items home delivery only and it's only a small thing? It's getting drop shipped. The reason I ask I'm building an e commerce website, I'm importing a container from china just after their new year but I want to sell other stuff as well but without having to buy the stock. Just wondering if anyone does it.

I'll let some of you guys who want to make a few quid working from home into a secret. Won't affect me I've moved on from there a LOT of eBay shops are just guys like us drop shipping. For £19.99 a month you can get an eBay shop, find a couple of drop shipping manufacturers, for £19.99 a month I think your allowed to list 200 items. Build up a shop, link their stock levels to your shop, the customer pays you, you order the stuff from the manufacturer giving customers details, you keep the profit, they get the stuff as if its from you. I've got a couple of sites I use but was wondering if anyone had any more

Tiercel 6,986
Drop shipping while sounding good, relies on your partner to deliver on time, which from the drop shippers I have seen on ebay does not happen.that often. There are a lot of firms in the channel islands that do drop shipping, dvd sets etc, but their partners get all the flack when wrong items are sent or non deliveries etc. TC
