Recommended Posts

Evening lads and lasses. I inherited a half decent camera and Ive always liked a good picture. Ive never took any myself but hope to..just wondering where is best in Hertfordshire area for birds, wildlife, scenic etc etc to give me good picture opportunity..Even somewhere nice to walk with the wife and kid. Also any tips or is it just a case of clicking away and hoping a I catch a good one?

go to any of the wildlife reserves in the area, plenty of people there to give advice, some good , some not so good, most of them have feed stations that are always busy with birds close up, if you put in plenty of practice, you could be as good as paulus, lol

Fiddle with the camera, get used to the feel of it and which buttons are where, take a pic, tinker, take another, tinker, and so on. You will get there. To capture fast moving objects you need to increase your shutter speed, but obviously if birds are quite still you should be okay...consult the cameras manual to show you how to do that

You'll soon see a photo opportunity in everything lol
