courser 73
I Shoot with rim fire and centre fire rifles ( a CZ .22rf, a .22 Hornet and a .223, both CZ 527s). I have been thinking of buying a pcp air rifle for shooting rats and rabbits near my mates farm buildings and for target practice at my local rifle club. The rifle that I have in mind is a FX Verminator mk II which seems light weight and accurate. Can anybody advise me on this rifle? It is expensive, so I want to be sure to get it right before I buy it. Quote Link to post
nangell 50
I had the mk1 verminator which was very accurate , compacted rifle which as a very high shot count ,heard good reports about the mk2 ,what I would say is pick one up and shoulder it as there not every ones cup a tea Quote Link to post
Lewis Ste 245
Are you wanting sub 12flbs or fac rated? I like the like of the verminator but they are alittle on the pricey side but ideal for rats with the 3 adjustable power setting fx have Quote Link to post
barrywhite 282
I have an old mark 1 with one power setting .I shoot it from 150 + bar down to 125 bar fill pressure this gives a constant 11.5 ft lbs .Screwing the bottle on is a little tricky, screwing the bottle of and then back on you loose 10 bar of pressure .I pump my gun up to 160 bar unscrew bottle then when I reattach the bottle I am at 150 bar and ready to go .I do like my verminator I have a hw100 also , the verminator is comparable to the hw 100 .If you pump up the verminator fully you will get a lot more shots than the hw100 but you will get a power curve .I would think the mark 2 is similar to the mark 1 I would be happy to get verminator 1 or 2 . I am very happy with mine. Quote Link to post
courser 73
IT's a sub 12flbs that I would get as I am very happy with my rimy for anything other than round the farm buildings. Quote Link to post
bilbobagins 92
as you say its a bit pricey mate and there are a lot of other sub 12 airguns that can do the job just as well have a look in the sales section on here there are a few bargains to be had Quote Link to post
courser 73
What do you think of the Daystate Huntsman Classic? .22 Quote Link to post
charlie caller 3,654
Or buy some cb subsonics 30ftlbs for your rimmy and save yourself a fortune lol. Quote Link to post
John Amby 0
You should buy the verminator mk 1 as it has a spring loaded cocking arm it can shoot faster and it is quieter than the mk2 verminator Quote Link to post
