Shed Or Hutch For Ferrets

Recommended Posts

Handy with a shed you can put a light in and its handy for cleaning out and lets you do more after you come back from working them and its dark as you always seem to have a dead spot even with flood lights

shed if you can mate, alot of more room to run about, toys, pipes, wheels etc. what would you prefer to live in , hutch or shed with more space? am using a shed at the moment, i could probaly do more with the space, extra level , few more things for ferrets. hutch will do the job

I'd go for custom made hutches within a shed.best of both worlds for you and ferrets.put electric lighting in and you got yourself a hideaway and plenty of space for equipment and in the winter months much easier to close the shed door from the weather and get on with cleaning duties, position hutches at just above waist height so no bending over while cleaning etc

Bloody good advice that, nothing worse then trying to clean them out in the pissing down rain and the wood shavings blowing all over the garden, and if you ain't home before 5 you'll be doing them in the dark least in the shed you'll be nice and dry, see what your doing and spend some time with the stinkers whatever the weather!
