Yokel Matt 918
Perfect. Accurate equipment, steady aim and good fieldcraft to set up a safe and effective shot. Good stuff...seems o have done the job on that one very nicely Quote Link to post
Guest Ditch_Shitter
No problems with that picture what so ever myself, Jamie. (And I'm 'fussy'! ) You've handled the entire presentation excellently, mate Now; What I'm dying to know is; What's the rifle, please? Calibre, if not full details of make and type. jamie g 17
No problems with that picture what so ever myself, Jamie. (And I'm 'fussy'! ) You've handled the entire presentation excellently, mate Now; What I'm dying to know is; What's the rifle, please? Calibre, if not full details of make and type. the rifle is a Tikka t3 tactical 223, and the scope is a swarovski PVI-2 6-24X50 P HIGH GRID WITH TDS-4I RETICLE and the silencer is a ase jet-z cqb. the rifle was just over a grand when he got it new. the silencer is about 270 pound. and he got the scope from the states i think it cost a grand as they sell over here for 1200 pound plus ! its seen some foxes off but like he told me the rifle is only as good as the person shooting it and he puts a lot of shooting time in. Guest Ditch_Shitter
Must admit; I'm newly enamoured of the 'Black Synthetic' type of look in a rifle No photograph I ever saw did them true justice. Then I actually saw and handled a couple and now I'm completely smitten! Quote Link to post

Guest Ditch_Shitter
I've got a much lamented NEF Handirifle .22 Hornet, mate. It's a f*cking beast of a thing and I'd most strongly reccomend Anyone avoid them like the bloody plague. Has a trigger pull of up to eight pounds ~ which simply isn't practicaly sortable. Anyway, I've gone of, for pages, about that bloody thing elsewhere and before here. What I've got my eye on now is 'downgrading' (sizing, at least) to a Remmington 597 in .22 Magnum. One of the rifles built to conform with some target shooting rules. Thus it's light. Perfectly balanced. And comes in sleek, black synthetic. I'm convinced I'll be able to take free standing shots with this little beauty. It'll also pack just as much punch as I need, without the overt seriousness of the Hornet which, quite frankly, is just a mite heavy going for my particular location, terrain and requirements. Also, of course, mag rounds cost about a third the price of the outrageous bloody Hornet ammo! Quote Link to post
