Anyone Every Get The .22 Barrel Cut Down?

I have s ruger 77/22 .22 here and its terribly long think its a 21/22" barrel + moderator rven longer.

 

Its very accurate but sick to death of it from [BANNED TEXT] I shoot from the car.

 

I've been reading that if uiu measure a full twist in thd barrel and cut it 1" after it you should still have good accuracy.

Get it cut down to 14" mate that is the length of my Anschutz and a more accurate .22rf I have yet to see.

Wats the legal minimum length?

Not sure but you can get them at 12" the Mae phantom is that length mate, I reckon 14"- 16" is perfect, and my Annie will head shoot bunnies @ 90 yards all day long, you can ask no more of a .22rf than that.

Had a few rabbit head shots at 120 with subs the other nite my ruger 77/22 is giving me 1.5 groups at 120 but I have done a trigger job on it qhich has transformed the gun completely as ruger triggers ard terrible.

 

Was looking at anchutz and weihrauch .22 the ogher day ag a shop but the price is the problem.

 

Considering going back down the 17hmr road as I found I would shoot more rabbits faster and more accurately be4 they fecked. But still like the .22 for the subs

Recently had my Ansultz cut down to 16", rethreaded and crowned. Best move ever. Very accurate and its a lot easier to manage. Cost £40 from a mate.
