Dan25 87
Well decided to give my 2 new hob kits a run out and was fairly pleased first warren was about 12 holer bit big to start them on I no but it was the only one with no cover.in goes my bigger hob of the two and straight down to my surprise he's been the most nippy and hard work but with in 4or 5 mins 2 in the nets at the same time he came out following so was really pleased with that then iwent to pick him up and he was trying to bite me all the time.his tale was was all bushed up gave him a few minutes to calm down but still the same so got the rabbit and he grabbed on so I got him then still nipping at me. So go to another warren smaller about 8 holer got out my smaller hob and he just wouldn't go in just running around going in the hoe then back out again and his tail again all bushed up would not let me pick him up just biting my trousers and boots got me big hob out and he went down again and then the little LAd followed got the big hob when he came up but no sight of the other then bang another in. The net called it a day then didn't want to try them to much . Just what can I do to pick them up after they have bolted them there really tame when I feed them handle them 2 3 times a day and they don't bite well for the last week anyway any advice thanks guys Quote Link to post

Blind Hawk 57
they can be incline to bite after coming out of the burrow when they are first timers give em a chance ........let the more experienced or older ferrets down first then let the young ones follow They can get turned off if let hunt to soon .you might find that they will stay just at the mouth of the burrow not wanting to come out......hence,thats what we call sulkers and that you dont want ......HAPPY HUNTING LAD Quote Link to post
