Just had to post this, one of my facebook friends posted a story about some bloke who tied his wife down and forced her to have an abortion......and it triggered off some of the most ridiculous comments I've ever seen on facebook :icon_eek: names changed to initials for obvious reasons....

    MV thats f****d but dairy cows go throw this everyday. 90% of dairy cows sent to slaughter are pregnant. the baby calf has to experience death from inside their mother. and even have to watch each other die infront of each others. cows form bonds to their babies just like humans.

    i once read a vet report about a dairy cow that had twins and the cow was use the farmer taking her baby away so she held in her 2nd baby and once the first calf was taken away she went to woods and gave birth the 2nd calf. when she wasent giving milk to the farmer. he followed her and found her baby. even tho the vet beg her to let her keep her baby coz she would have had to go throw alot to hold on to that baby. but the farm desided to kill the calf instead. farmers cant let babies drink their own mother milk!

    from mother to another. none of us deserve to have baby killed and feel the heartache of losing a child.
    when i worked on the dairy farm i witnessed one cow stand at a gate for two weeks where her calf was dragged away and she cry out loud. infact whaled and she had tears just like a human. absolutely heart wrenching. infact her screams still give me nightmears :(

    the only reason im pointing this out is coz i made a promise to all the cows on that farm. that i would tell their story. as they dont dont speak our language. but you can see something is in pain and suffering.

    CB I get the point ur trying to make there but I don't think people would generally feel the same connection with that story as you do without witnessing/experiencing it for themselves - rightly or wrongly... you've seen a lot more of that side of farming etc than a lot of people, but then seeing is believing...

  • CB I'm not disputing the fact that animals love their young, that's pretty obvious. But hearing stories about cruelty towards people and children especially effects me more than stories about animals. I obviously would rather animals didn't suffer either, but I'm just saying what is more important to me. But we can all have our own opinions x

    that goes arcoss bored... i dont believe woman in 3 world. who have to hold their baby in their arms watch it while it stavs to dea    th because their food that is being grown on their land is being fed to farm animals in the weston world.they touch that food they will be killed. oh man that would suck having to watch your own child die in arms and this can take DAYS. the feeling of helplesnes would be unreal.
    yeah their lots of reason to give up animal based products and not even talk about animals right once. even your own children future depend on it. animal based diet is the BIGGEST course of globle warming and is killing our planet.
    their a awesome doco you watch that is all about what the weston diet is doing to our planet. infact even in this doco is name all the country that staving to death while food growing in their country and also points out what going to happen in future to this planet if we dont change.
    if things carry on the way their going my son and your childrens, children grandchildren will die due to climet change. this is something that i want to see change. i care about son and his family future on this planet. i just wish more people would research about climate change as it is big enough to bring all the leaders around the world together and have the G20 meeting. which let me point out their not doing engouh. giving us recycle bin just isent going to cut it.
    anyways here a link on that doco. maybe you would like watch it. its all docotors and scientists talking a few video of things around the world. its not boring but its defo an eye openers

Oh after a few drinks then i would say it exactly like that mate....."PISH!!!". But i'd like to think i could try and debate it if i was sober but when its just pure and utter bollocks i would find it hard to take it seriously and possibly think they have mental issues?

I don't think it's a case of having mental issues, I think it's a case of being so basic that you're very easily brainwashed and with a bit of gentle persuasion you'll believe literally anything....that combined with having that mentality where you have to be protesting against something.

dreadlocks, tattoos all over, face piercings, the lot! I won't post any details on her because she's got a kid but yes, you know just by looking at her picture she stinks worse than a badgers arse....and talks less sense than one!
