Non magnetic collar batteries silver oxide 393s ,you could if youre desperate use the za 13 hearing aid batteries from the likes of boots but these dont last very long at all.

off ebay change them every time I go out

Not worth taking a chance on a battery running out

for a couple of pence

Well i have to disagree cheep batteries = poor readings , rayovac only change after Xmas then ,
