Just read an add in the CMW for saluki x pups, some very good breeding in them, it said the sire was sold to the arabs for £8,500? Was that the lenny dog?

he did sell for that yes but what age are the pups.

Dosnt say mate, it says sire was bred Barney x bean dohertys 'spot' and dam was bred captain x spooner X cruiser x amber

It's maybe just me but I'd like to think if I had a litter of pups and not even from a super dog, I wouldn't need to advertise them in the local paper. They'd be sold/gifted before they saw daylight.

I'd pay that for a really well bred dog, if I wanted to have its dam and sire's names splashed all over the internet, if I wanted to be a coursing god and if I was running against the best dogs around the country

Glad my home bred, gifted pot lickers have little reputation to live up to and no-one to please except me.

They can still catch stuff as well though

like most things in life its worth what another man will pay for it and not a penny more, anyone gullible enough to fall for the 6.5k line sire deserves what they get, they be chancy well bred pups same chances as most well bred stuff imho, theres no guarantees with lurchers even the best produce gash stock

you can put the two best dogs on the planet together for a litter but getting decent homes for the litter doesn't seem to price related.
