Outlaw Pete 2,224 Posted August 4, 2013 Author Report Share Posted August 4, 2013 Trouble is, here, Pipedy doo dah; My property ~ or the side of it where the action almost invariably takes place ~ is bounded by a deep, hedge lined ditch. So, a Bengal Tiger could be slinking up that and I wouldn't see it. Other side from that is a Very rough pasture field. Enough cover for a small and inexperienced infantry division to sneak about in, unseen. Frankly? It's f**king frustrating. I normally end up standing by the ditch, peering down it. Then sneaking up to the gate, to stare at an acre or so of rough, juncus covered land. All the time imagining a cat is getting one up on me. That's the bit that Really pisses me. woodga 170 Posted August 5, 2013 Report Share Posted August 5, 2013 while sitting out for foxes on a gorse scattered valley we always use the bird noise to help detect when a fox is working the valleys be it blackbirds, magpies, ect they have a loud warning call ,been the down fall of many a fox, nature in its finest you cant beat it 1 Quote Link to post
