IN AID OF HELP FOR HEROES ST ROCH RUNNING DOGS RACE DAY THIS SUNDAY 21ST JULY by kind permission of mr and mrs palmer at the CORNISH LURCHER SHOWGROUND Higher carnebone farm on the A394 Helston to Falmouth road, TR13 0EL Booking in for all events from 9am £2 entry fee per dog for coursing and racing, hurdles £1, scurry £1 for 2 attempts 10.30 under 24" coursing [dale renault stakes] followed by over 24" coursing [mole valley farmers stakes] 1st prize in both events will receive a gold medal, £5 mole valley farmers voucher and 2 18th century framed Dean Wolstenholme coursing print copies, 2nd place in both events will receive a silver medal. LUNCH BREAK 12-1PM HURDLES after lunch, [t.mitchell stakes] winner receives a gold medal and a rosette, 2nd place silver medal. Terrier racing 1st place recieves a gold medal, framed print copy and a rosette, 2nd place receives a silver medal. SCURRY [timed retrieve] open to all and as many goes as you like, winner receives a gold medal, rosette and one of the above print copies, 2nd place silver medal. RACING under 24" [tyacks derby] followed by over 24" [greyhound superstore stakes] 1st place in both events will receive £5 mole valley farmers voucher, gold medal and 2 framed print copies, 2nd place will receive a silver medal. we will be holding a raffle and auction after all events have finished followed by PRIZE GIVING AND PHOTOS [to be sent to the countrymans weekly] sweep stakes will be held on each event, all profits and money raised will go to HELP FOR HEROES. basic camping and toilet facilities are available at £5 per pitch per night. hot food wagon will be available throughout the day. all dogs competing to be muzzled bumping dogs will be disqualified! the coursing, racing and hurdles will all be 2 dog heats. all events are open to any breed of running dog and terriers. thanks to all the sponsors and donations. ST ROCH is the patron saint of dogs, he was a soldier that was helped by a dog in his time of need, so we think HELP FOR HEROES is an appropriate charity for our club to support.

had a great response for the auction items..so far we have a free m.o.t from dales summercourt, a carvery meal for 2 from tyacks, a meal for 2 at sandsifter, hip flask filled with booze, a painting of your dog by T.Mitchell, many many thanks to all that have given these wonderful prizes to raise money for HELP FOR HEROES..if there is anyone out there that can offer anything it would be greatly appreciated also wanted are raffle prizes PLEASE!!!

      QUALIFIERS are available to GB SHOW ORGANISERS for the following CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS
                                                     at the IRISH GAME FAIR, Shanes Castle, Antrim on the 29/30 June.
      1. FIVE NATIONS WHIPPET CHAMPIONSHIP
      2. FIVE NATIONS LURCHER CHAMPIONSHIP
      3. FIVE NATIONS TERRIER CHAMPIONSHIPS
      4. MASTER MC GRATH LURCHER CHALLENGE  Two dogs to qualify from each show ( over and under 23")
      5. MICK THE MILLER CHALLENGE for Traditional HAIRY LURCHERS any size. Two to qualify from each show. 
      EACH CHAMPIONSHIP HAS £200 to the Winner £50 to the Runner Up plus other prizes and quality trophies.   As the 31st ANNUAL All Ireland Championships ( Showing & Racing) also take place this weekend ( which are open all ) qualifiers can have a real opportunity to compete for titles and prizes with the best of Irish dogs. 
      To recognise the additional costs of coming to the event for GB qualifiers, they get FREE tickets to the show and special ferry and accommodation rates and each GB qualifying event organiser gets £50 for their best in show winner.

      Show time again folks! 
      Fell and moorland wtc are holding in there summer show again in good old Lancashire. 
      Get yourself and the family down to support this club. All the cash made gose back to the members if they have a dog stuck and need a rescue. 
      All the usual classes for the terriers and the running dogs. Champion bull X  and child handler for the kids! 
      And Anyone wanting to show there Bedlingtons we have a class for them as well. 
      Qualifiers for champion of champions at the Midlands, Pride of the peaks and more! 
      Food and drinks available on site, trade stalls welcome
