What Pigeons Are Good For Meat And Look Nice?

Kings and runts are the only eaters I've heard of. Racers are probably the easiest large type to get hold of though and would maybe fatten up with the right feed? Or just shoot some woodies.

thanks for that. I had thought of racers as they are so easy to get hold of. I do have an air rifle, but I just cant shoot enough!! :cray: I have also thought about doing rabbits for meat. while im thinking of it, has anyone tried guinea pig? :D:icon_eek: no, seriously, I am interested in the idea!!!!! :bad:

they eat guinea pigs in peru ---- have a look on google images ------------Modena pigeons are a good sized meaty pigeon that look nice ... as for rabbits my old man used to breed new Zealand whites and californian giants for meat....

thanks for that. :thumbs: I was just thinking that rabbits, guinea pigs and pigeons breed quickly and prolifically, don't eat too much or find most of the food themselves.
