mickeyfn19 16
Basically I bought some pellets around christmas time, I opened them today and found that they were white as if they had oxidised. How long does it take for pellets to oxidise?
Blackbriar 8,569
Feed pellets, airgun pellets.............?
stealthy1 3,964
Depends on the moisture content in the air where you store them
The one 8,587
But they should have been sealed so the air wouldn't get in
stealthy1 3,964
What make of pellets? and have you opened them before Chritsmas? I'd just give them a quick blast with WD40
mickeyfn19 16
They were h+n ftt. I did open them before and they were stored in a place where the moisture content would probably be quite high. As for giving them a blast with wd40, would that not make the gun diesel? The one 8,587
Dry them off with a bit of kitchen roll and that will remove most of the wd -40 and they should be fine
mickeyfn19 16
Ok. I'll give it a go. Will it make the pellets slightly more accurate as well because all of the swarf and crap will have been removed from them.? Edited July 11, 2013 by mickeyfn19
The one 8,587
Ive only ever washed a tin with fairy liquid and dried them as i saw it on a airgun mag , but if your cleaning them and taking out the damaged ones it can only help i reckon
mickeyfn19 16
well today i came back from shooting and cleaned them with fairy liquid and warm water. its insane how much crap came off them considering that they are the better brand of pellet.
